Mein Schiff 7

2024
Meyer Turku Newbuilding Shipbuilding
Mein Schiff 7 is the first vessel in the Mein Schiff fleet to operate exclusively on low-emission marine diesel with a maximum sulfur content of just 0.1%. Designed with future sustainability in mind, Mein Schiff 7 is also methanol-ready, allowing it to be converted to operate on green methanol as the fuel becomes more widely available, significantly reducing its carbon footprint and enabling near CO₂-neutral propulsion. Built at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland, the vessel is the first methanol-capable cruise ship constructed by the shipyard, marking an important milestone in the development of more sustainable cruise shipping.
Lautex has been involved in building all seven Mein Schiff newbuilds originating from Meyer Turku. On this ship our metal ceiling deliveries included, to name few examples, the ceilings for guest cabin corridors, main staircases, TUI Bar, Kids Area, Night Club, Italian Restaurant, Viennese Café, public restrooms and the Theater.
